“Up until yesterday, KS
patients within the county could only be referred to Chula Imbo in Kisumu due
to unavailability of the services in Homa Bay. The cost of seeking treatment was
so inhibitive that patients often opted to simply wait for the relief of death”
added Martin Owino.
Homa-bay County residents get free Kidney screening
A team of
specialists and experts in the medical field today set camp at the Homa Bay County
Referral Hospital in an exercise aimed at creating awareness regarding kidney
diseases and providing free renal screening to the residents.

projects – the Local Poultry Improvement Program – aimed at issuing 240

Ban on sand harvesting at night
Homa Bay county government, through
the ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has now placed an indefinite ban
on sand harvesting at night to help curb insecurity and reduce “unbecoming
clandestine activities” within the county.

as well as frequent users of the lake to come forward and help fight insecurity
on the lake by notifying concerned authorities upon spotting suspicious and
